          1.) Ulster Canoe Club recognises that Canoeing is a water based activity that may carry attendant risks.
              Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept risks such as danger of personal injury
              or death and be responsible for their own actions and involvement.

                2.) I acknowledge that canoeing is an extreme sport undertaken at my own risk
              I can confirm I do not suffer from any disability or medical condition that may render me unfit for
              strenuous exercise.* I understand that Ulster Canoe Club cannot be held responsible for any personal injury
              loss or damage as a result of my participation in any club event except that which is the result of
              gross negligence and/or wilful or wanton misconduct.

                3.) I declare that I have not at any time, within the United Kingdom and its
              dependencies, or in any other country or territory, been found guilty by a court of any offence
              concerning children or young people under 18 years of age, nor bound over, placed on probation,
              caution, or discharged conditionally or absolutely in relation to such offences. I understand that I
              must inform the committee should this position change at any time.
                  
                  I agree to be bound by the rules and regulations of the association and the British Canoe Union. 
              I accept liability for my/our share (£1) in the company in the event of liquidation of the Union.    
                          
                          * Should a medical condition exist this will not necessarily preclude you from membership
              participation but it must be declared. Should you be in any doubt advice should be sought from
              your family doctor.
